Election Results

The 1/2 percent sales tax for a new swimming pool in Humphrey has passed.
Unofficial results posted at 8:34 a.m. today, show 234 voted for the sales tax and 137 voted against it.
In other results, Humphrey Mayor Lonnie Weinder was re-elected as a write-in candidate.
Bob Preister was re-elected to the Humphrey City Council.
On the Humphrey Public School Board race, all four candidates were elected.
New board member Aaron Korth received the most votes with 823, followed by incumbents Mike Brandl, 793, and Tim Meyer, 777, and new board member Paul Schmek got 734 votes.
In Creston, Todd Groteluschen received 95 votes, and Jack Luedtke, 89.
In Cornlea, Kory Vering received 17 votes, and Shane Baumgart, 16.
In Lindsay, three were elected. David Arlt was re-elected with 104 votes, and new board members elected are Eugene Werner, 131 votes, and Fred Hoefer, 111 votes.
In Platte Center, Jessica Hake received 128 votes.
In Tarnov, Terrence Classen got 20 votes, and Kathy Krings, 16.
