Hospitals are interesting places.
Last week my wife had a knee replaced, and I spent about two and half days there waiting, walking, taking in the sights, getting to know the staff and gaining a whole new appreciation for those in the medical profession.
The day of the surgery, my wife and I checked in at 5:15 in the morning for a 7 o’clock operation. I sat in her room as a series of people came and went to prep Kelly for surgery, trying to stay out of their way as they did their job.
Finally they took her to surgery, and I retreated to the waiting room to kill time.
