St. Francis junior Andrew Kosch, right, shot a 78 and finished as runner up in the Patriot Invite. Freshmen Jacob Keller, left, carded an 86 and earned the 14th place medal. The team shot a 355 which placed them 5th in the 15 team tournament.

H-LHF boys defeat Madison in tournament

Humphrey-Lindsay Holy Family used a strong second quarter to pull away from Madison to record a 71-43 win in the first round of the East Husker Conference Tournament Jan. 17.

Leading 20-15 after the first quarter, the Bulldogs outscored the Dragons 19-8 in the second for a 39-23 halftime lead.

They outscored Madison 32-20 in the second half to wrap up the game.
