HPS budget may increase slightly

A slight increase is expected in the Humphrey Public School budget.

The board of education held a special meeting Aug. 25 to go over this year’s figures. The budget will be approved at the Monday, Sept. 14, meeting.

Overall, the proposed tax rate for 2020-21 is 0.408 or 41 cents per $100 assessed valuation. It was 0.390, or 39 cents per $100 assessed valuation a year ago.
