HSF second-graders hit the books to help Covenant House
The second-grade students at St. Francis participated in a read-a-thon throughout March with all proceeds donated to Covenant House in Stromsburg.
During February, the kids asked friends and family members to pledge money in any amount for each book they would read and pass an Accelerated Reader test on in March. They kept track of their pledges and once March 1st appeared on the calendar, they were off and reading to complete the challenge.
