A groundbreaking ceremony was held March 26 at Lindsay Corporation for its $50 million expansion project. Humphrey High FFA qualifies speakers for state competition

The Humphrey High Schol FFA Chapter competed at District 2 Leadership Skills Events which were held at Lakeview.

Twenty FFA members and six junior high students competed in events.

FFA members competed in Senior Public Speaking, Extemporaneous Speaking, Junior Public Speaking, Job Interview, Creed Speaking, Conduct of Chapter Meetings and Senior Parliamentary Procedure, while the junior high students competed in the Quiz Bowl. The hard work and extra practice paid off and resulted in the outcome of three individual state qualifiers and the rest of the competitors earning blue and purple ribbons. Emma Labenz placed 2nd in Senior Public Speaking, Ashley Schemek earned 2nd in Extemporaneous Speaking, and Kelly Pfeifer placed 2nd in Creed Speaking. All three will advance onto State competition in April.
