St. Francis junior Andrew Kosch, right, shot a 78 and finished as runner up in the Patriot Invite. Freshmen Jacob Keller, left, carded an 86 and earned the 14th place medal. The team shot a 355 which placed them 5th in the 15 team tournament.

Kelsey Kosch’s ‘card club’ deals in nursing home residents

During this stress-filled time of the pandemic, it is important to consider others and what they might be going through.

St. Francis second-grader Kelsey Kosch has found a way to reach out to those who may be lonely by starting a “card club” for the people of Madison’s Countryside Nursing Home.

The residents don’t play cards, and they, in fact, are not members of the card club. They are the recipients of cards that those in the club create each week for delivery to the nursing home.
