Lindsay seeking help to pay for flood repairs

Lindsay is working to get funds to help pay for flood damage.

The Lindsay Village Board of Trustees heard a report from chairman Ken Kurtenbach on what is being done.

He attended a meeting with Platte County Emergency Management and NEMA personnel.

Kurtenbach registered Lindsay with NEMA and FEMA for funding.

He also attended a NEMA meeting in Fremont, so the damage done in Lindsay by the flood can be submitted to help pay for repairs.

He said Lindsay is able to make emergency repairs to streets damaged by the flood. Kurtenbach has documented the damage done, including to Ash and Dewey streets.
