Serving up tradition

Despite the coronavirus, St. Francis Bazaar brings people together

Some traditions can’t be broken.

The annual St. Francis Parish Bazaar went off without a hitch Sunday despite making some concessions to the coronavirus.

The event was shortened, and food was packaged to go, but that didn’t impact the sense of community, according to Father Eric Olsen.

“I think it’s incredibly important because it gives everybody an opportunity to get together and it gives everybody an opportunity to work together. Both of those things bind people together. It’s a wonderful thing to come together and pray, but when you can come together to work and to eat and have fun, it gives an extra dimension to it,” he said.
