Timing of 3rd St. project saves tax dollars
Timing is everything. By moving up the Third Street South project, the Humphrey City Council saved taxpayers money.
The council discussed at its May 18 meeting how it was able to save tax dollars by acting on the project when it did.
Mayor Lonnie Weidner said in November 2018, the council contemplated paving Third Street, knowing the other construction notes for paving weren’t going to be payed off until 2021.
