Wall falls as Third Sreet South project progresses

The Third Street South paving project is progressing well, despite an unforeseen issue.

Sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning the east wall of Sharon’s Oldies Antiques Corner (owned by Sharon Herchenbach) at 301 Main St., pulled away from the rest of the building, and the bricks behind the metal wall spilled out under the bottom of the metal wall onto the sidewalk.

A crew was on hand Tuesday morning trying to make repairs.
