Updated screening process led to positive changes

What a difference 24 hours can make. As patients, visitors and staff members exited Columbus Community Hospital’s front doors on Thursday, March 31, they were greeted by the friendly faces of the hospital’s COVID-19 screeners — many of whom have worked as screeners for nearly two years. However, when staff and visitors arrived early the following morning, the screening tables and thermometers had beaen packed away. It was a surreal scene for many, and a hopeful sign that the end of the COVID-19 pandemic may be nearing.
