After participating in the 2021 Norfolk Lion's

After participating in the 2021 Norfolk Lion’s Club Parade Saturday, Sept. 25, the Humphrey Band was unable to attend the awards ceremony later in the afternoon. Had the band been at the the ceremony they would have found out they were awarded the “Best Band in the Parade Judges Trophy.” Wednesday, Nov. 3, the news of the award and the trophy were delivered to Humphrey High. Band director Matt Bertrand said, “This came as a complete surprise as the parade was over a month ago and we had not received any information concerning any award for our performance. The kids are very excited and it is a great reward for their hard work and for the great day we had at the parade.” Courtesy photo
