Despite the sign and threat of a fine, someone dropped off painted construction wood in the burn pile at the Humphrey City Dump. The sign clearly states “No painted wood,” people have repeatedly dropped off items not allowed in the burn pile or other parts of the dump. Dump in distress

After heavy rains in March, Humphrey City maintenance workers drove out to the landfill and were greeted by a scene of tree branches thrown over the locked gate on the inside of the landfill.

The Stations of the Cross are posted throughout Humphrey, They depict the stages of Christ’s passion and death. The stages help Christians make a spiritual pilgrimage through contemplation of the Passion of Christ. Station No.2, above, shows Jesus being given His cross.
