St. Francis junior Andrew Kosch, right, shot a 78 and finished as runner up in the Patriot Invite. Freshmen Jacob Keller, left, carded an 86 and earned the 14th place medal. The team shot a 355 which placed them 5th in the 15 team tournament.

Kenneth Bender

Kenneth Bender, 92, of Humphrey, Neb., died Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at St. Joseph’s Rehabilitation and Care Center in Norfolk, Neb.

Mass of Christian Burial was on Monday, March 9, at 10 a.m., at St. Francis Catholic Church in Humphrey and Father Eric Olsen celebrating the Mass. Visitation was on Sunday from 3-6 p.m. and a 6 p.m. Vigil Service at the church. Visitation continued on Monday from 9 a.m. until Mass time, also at the church. Interment with military honors by the American Legion Post 80 Foltz Zuerlein & VFW Post 7725 Honor Guard, were in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Father Wayne’s Pickup Fund or the Humphrey Veterans Memorial.
