Beller, defense lead H-LHF girls past Boone Central

Humphrey-Lindsay Holy Family won its sixth straight with a dominating performance against Boone Central here Saturday. The Lady Bulldogs posted a convincing 58-36 win.

Defense has helped carry the team this season.

“We put in a match-up zone, and I think that’s saved their legs a little bit,” head coach Kandee Hanzel said. “It takes a lot of work, but I’m proud of them, they did a great job.”

The Lady Bulldogs jumped out to an 18-5 lead with six players scoring. Alisha Dahlberg scored five, and Addison Schneider, four.
