Flyers fall to Mullen in opener

The Mullen Broncos led from wire-to-wire in eliminating Humphrey St. Francis from the Class D2 boys state basketball tournament March 9.

At Lincoln Southeast High, the Broncos opened with a 7-0 run and never trailed on their way to a close 45-44 win to advance to Friday's semifinals.

Although St. Francis never led, it did even the game in the second quarter and had a shot to win the game at the end.
