St. Francis junior Andrew Kosch, right, shot a 78 and finished as runner up in the Patriot Invite. Freshmen Jacob Keller, left, carded an 86 and earned the 14th place medal. The team shot a 355 which placed them 5th in the 15 team tournament.

Flyers soar past Norfolk Catholic

A 22-point performance from Cole Wemhoff lead Humphrey St. Francis to its sixth straight win Friday, a 61-49 victory over Class C-1 Norfolk Catholic. The Flyers fell behind early, with Norfolk Catholic holding a 21-14 edge in the first quarter. St. Francis rebounded in the second quarter to gain a 34-32 halftime lead. The Flyers outscored Norfolk Catholic 27-17 in the second half. Pierce Eisenmenger finished second in scoring for St. Francis with 11 points.
