The Kellers, owners of Main Street Market in Humphrey, have purchased the Lindsay Cooperative Market, and will take over in May. The deal was announced March 20 during the annual Cooperative Market community meeting. Lindsay Holy Family students celebrated National Ag Day March 19 thanks to Bank of Lindsay, Lindsay Insurance and Elite Realty. Students were treated to breakfast at the bank and insurance office, served by the staff. Sausage, eggs and donuts were served, with the eggs provided by Four Sisters Backyard Farms, located just east and north of Lindsay. Stella (8), Scarlett (6), Eloise (4), and Lydia (15 months) Beller, with supervision from their mother, Summer Beller, have operated since 2021. Democrat photo

The Goldenrod Conference recently released its all conference teams and the St. Francis Flyers and Lady Flyers were well represented. Earning 1st team honors were Nyla Kessler, Isabel Preister and Carson Wessel. Second team honors went to Karly Kessler and Ethan Wieseler. H-LHF boys get hot in 2nd half to beat Wisner-Pilger

Humphrey-Lindsay Holy Family withstood Wisner-Pilger’s first half barrage to rally in the second half and post a 71-65 road win Jan. 12.

The Gators scored 22 in each of the first two quarters to open up a 44-31 halftime lead, and then the Bulldogs went to work.

They trimmed the deficit to 52-47 heading to the fourth quarter, and then took over. The Bulldogs outscored Wisner-Pilger 24-11 in the fourth to earn the comeback win.
