St. Francis junior Andrew Kosch, right, shot a 78 and finished as runner up in the Patriot Invite. Freshmen Jacob Keller, left, carded an 86 and earned the 14th place medal. The team shot a 355 which placed them 5th in the 15 team tournament.

Lady Flyers top WP/B to claim holiday tourney title

St. Francis raced out to an 11-point advantage in the first quarter, and that was enough to propel the Lady Flyers to a 50-40 win over West Point/Beemer Thursday in the title game of the West Point/Beemer Holiday Tournament.

They led 16-5 after the first, and WP/B knocked a point off the deficit in the second quarter, and the lead was 25-15 at halftime.

St. Francis increased its lead after three quarters, 35-23, and kept WP/B at bay in the fourth.
