Weidner’s 27 leads Flyers over Aquinas

Allison Weidner’s 27 points led St. Francis past David City Aquinas 60-48 Feb. 5. The Monarchs jumped out to a 19-12 lead after the first quarter, but the Flyers cut into the deficit and trailed just 30-28 at the half. They took the lead in the third, outscoring Aquinas 14-11 to lead 42-41 heading to the fourth. In the final period, St. Francis got its offense going, outscoring Aquinas 18-7 to secure the win. Weidner added 13 rebounds, six assists and five steals to her stat line. Tara Foltz scored 13 points. Kyleigh Sjuts grabbed five rebounds and three steals.
