The St. Francis girls finished second in Class D in the Nebraska State Track & Field Meet at Burke Stadium in Omaha.
Jalyssa Hastreiter competes in the 1600-meter run.
Hannah Baumgart placed 9th in the rain-soaked 3200-meter run, finishing in a time of 12.59:45.
Brock Pfeifer ran the 3200-meter race, placing 14th.
Kylee Wessel high jumped 4-9.
Allison Weidner turned in a 6th place finish in the triple jump, reaching 34-4.
Emma Baumgart helped St. Francis earn gold again in the 3200-meter relay.
Tanner Pfeifer’s high jump of 5-11 placed him third at state.
Weidner earns 3 golds in final state meet
Allison Weidner took her final bow as a St. Francis Flyer, leaving a legacy for all to admire.
She now turns her attention to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, where she will enter as a freshman on the women’s basketball team in June.
But first, there was work to be done at the Nebraska State Track & Field Meet at Burke Stadium in Omaha.
By the time last Wednesday’s and Thursday’s Class D meet concluded, Weidner was a threetime gold medal winner in the 400-meter dash and 800-meter run, and two-time gold medal winner as a part of the 3200-meter relay.
