The St. Francis golf team traveled to North Platte and Lake Maloney Golf Course to compete in the Class D State Golf Tournament.
The two-day, 36 hole tournament features the top 15 teams who have qualified from the five district meets held around the state. St. Francis qualified by winning the D-2 district championship.
On Day 1 of the tournament, under difficult conditions and a 2-hour weather delay, St. Francis shot a team score of 354 and was sitting 6th overall. The Flyers played their best golf of the season on Day 2 of the tournament in shooting a team score of 332 and jumping to 4th overall as team.
