Dicastery rules HSF, LHF closed properly

The appeal of the merger of Humphrey St. Francis and Lindsay Holy Family grades 7-12 has been rejected.

The Dicastery of Culture and Education at the Vatican issued a letter dated April 10, 2025, stating “I am writing to formally notify you that the appeal submitted against the merger of the two parochial secondary schools, St. Francis in Humphrey and Lindsay Holy Family in Lindsay, into a single secondary school based at the location of the former St. Francis High School, Archdiocese of Omaha (Nebraska, USA), has been reviewed and rejected. The decision was made in accordance with the law and is documented in the attached decree.”
