The Humphrey Rescue Unit continues to work toward the purchase of a new ambulance.
The cost of a new unit is estimated at $528,000. The department tries to purchase a new unit roughly every 10 years, and the age and cost of the current units are why the department is planning now for a new unit.
The department said, if anyone and any organization has donated toward the ambulance fund and haven’t seen their name in the paper, contact Jim Wiehn at (402) 920-1935 or Karen Wietfeld at (402) 276-0758.
