The inability to convert 2-point conversions came back to haunt Humphrey-Lindsay Friday, as Neligh-Oakdale rallied for a 34-30 win in the opener for both teams.
The Bulldogs led 30-20 heading to the fourth, but the Warriors scored twice on a pair of scoring plays by quarterback Cooper Arehart.
He scooted in from 6 yards out then added the game-winning toss on a 9-yard touchdown pass to Corbin Hoefer. Arehart added the conversion, and the Warriors hung on for the final 6:56 for the win.
