Archangels split a pair of home games Thursday, topping Grand Island Lutheran 22-25, 25-16, 25-20 before falling to Nebraska Christian 18-25, 21-25.
Nebraska Christian was tough at the net, finishing with 22 kills and 6 blocks. Taytum Perdew led with 7 kills, and Sheridan Falk and had 5 each. Reagan Norris had 3 blocks.
Defenders head coach Susan Lindsley said, “We knew they were going to be beasts, that’s just who they are. We got the touches on the blocks, and that really helps, if we get that defense it really helps. They’re a good team. We were in the right spots, we played well at times but you can’t decide when you’re going to play against good teams.”
