Lindsay board finalizes contract minus penalties

The final payment has been made on the lagoon project — minus $103,000 in late fees.

The Lindsay Village Board of Trustees discussed at its Oct. 6 meeting it has issued the final payment to Janssen Heavy Equipment, of Platte Center, for work on its lagoon.

The final payment does not include late fees of $500 a day for 206 days the project went past the completion date as written in the contract.
