Jaiden Anderson brought home some hardware Friday at the Class D state cross country meet at the Kearney Country Club.
“We sent two Archangels Defenders to the cross county State Meet, Claire Wegener, a freshman, and Jaiden Anderson, a junior,” head coach Denise Brockhaus said.
“It was a perfect day for running at 50 degrees. Claire ran the 5K in 20:43 minutes, which is her personal best, setting the Defenders school record, dropping it another 45 seconds off her time from the week prior. She placed 26th out of 121 girls in Class D. Her average time per mile was 6:41.
