Heroes welcome
Veterans were honored Tuesday morning with the presentation of the Quilts of Valor during the Humphrey Veterans Day program at Archangels Catholic High School. The quilts are made by the members of Pins & Needles Quilt Club. Members are Mary Ann Babel, Elaine Gilsdorf, Lois Gronenthal, Connie Jaixen and Ardith Schueth and presented each year to area veterans. Veterans Day service honors those who serve; reminder of those who fought for our freedom

Sometimes people need to be reminded how good life really is.

Tita and Christopher Secuya, teachers at St. Francis Elementary and Archangels Catholic School, respectively, told the Veterans Day crowd Tuesday morning at ACHS how blessed they feel to be living in the United States.
