As we walked down the hall to the cafeteria I noticed all the people coming and going. It was Thanksgiving, and a lot of people were working.
My wife, Kelly, was one of them, so I joined her for lunch at the hospital cafeteria. We had our family Thanksgiving the weekend before, so we didn’t miss out on getting together, but not everyone has that luxury.
Healthcare workers, firemen and rescue personnel, service men and women, even those who work in convenience stores, and so many more, work holidays so the rest of us can enjoy them.
