Timely 3-pointers allowed the Humphrey-Lindsay boys to keep Shelby/Rising City at bay Monday afternoon, as the Bulldogs posted a 61-52 win in the first round of the Holiday Tournament at the Bank of Lindsay Wellness Center in Lindsay.

Joel Brandl hit a pair of 3’s in the first quarter en route to a game-high 21 points to help the Bulldogs claim a 12-9 lead.

“We work on that, head coach Joe Hesse said of the 3-point shooting. “As fast as we want to play, sometimes the best shot is the first shot, just shoot it.”
