Employment violation claim dropped in Braun lawsuit

Response to allegations coming soon

Melissa Braun’s claim with the Nebraska Equal Opportunity Commission (NEOC) has been dropped because of the lawsuit against Archangels Catholic High School.

Braun’s attorney Kathleen M. Neary, of Powers Law in Lincoln, said, “The Nebraska Equal Opportunity Commission will not be making a decision because I pulled the charge from the NEOC and filed the lawsuit. We are legally allowed to do that. The reason I pulled it is because we want a jury to hear the facts in this case and issue a fair and just verdict as soon as possible. My client and I are anxious to get this case in front of a jury because we believe a jury, after hearing the evidence, will render a full and fair verdict.”
