Gavin Geilenkirchen and Ethan Wieseler combined for 34 points Friday night to keep Clarkson/Leigh at bay as Archangels posted a 60-46 win.
Geilenkirchen scored 22, and seemed to come to the rescue for the Defenders whenever the Patriots threatened.
“Gavin’s been playing well for us, he did a good job of getting to the rim, very good defensively and what’s been great is he’s been able to play a lot of minutes. Your talking two guys (Gavin and Ethan), who have played a lot of basketball for us, and they did some nice things,” he said.
