A strong second half allowed the Archangels girls to cruise to a 62-23 win over Lutheran High Northeast here Saturday night.
The Defenders started to pull away in the second quarter, and put the game out of reach with a 28-14 run with most of the starters out by the close of the game.
“We talked about a few things at halftime that we needed to clean up. It was really more physicality, but I was really happy with our second half, executed pretty well. That team is really gritty, they're strong, they’ll really get into you, and I thought we adjusted to that in the second half,” head coach Bryan Reichmuth said.
