From the seniors escorting the kindergarten into Mass on Monday through the parent meal and a movie on Friday, Catholic Schools Week was filled with faith, fun, and family.
“Saints in the Making” was the theme chosen by the Catholic Schools Week committee The week began with Mass celebrated by Father Dan Wittrock who spoke of the blessing of attending Catholic school in his Homily. Family members were present to witness the poignant tradition of seniors escorting each of the kindergarten students to their seats at the front of the church. Music was provided by the high school choir accompanied by Mr. Secuya as all in the congregation joined in the singing. Junior Ethan Wieseler served as lector while acolytes were freshmen Max Wegener, Nathan Preister, and Jacob Classen. Those serving as EMHS were juniors Jaiden Anderson, Jacob Keller, and Gavin Geilenkirchen.
After Mass, St. Francis Elementary students and students from Archangels met with their prayer partners to scribe letters of thanks to their parents for the opportunity to attend Catholic school.
