The Archangels girls hung with Central Valley, but the Cougars held them off in a 55-43 win here Feb. 3.

Archangels head coach Bryan Reichmuth said his team had a chance despite Central Valley’s 10 3-pointers.

“It was frustration at the last 3 minutes,” he said. “I thought we played pretty good ball for 3 1/2 quarters. Granted, they spread us apart in the third quarter by shooting crazily good. I’m not pinning that on our girls, that was just one of those things, but in the end, when we needed rebounds we didn’t get them. When they weren’t making their shots we weren’t getting the rebounds and turning them into points. When we were on offenses we weren’t executing, we were moving slowly, tuned into turned over, turned into points. My frustration was the last 3 minutes of the game.”
