Commssioners replace supervisors, township boards; county maintain roads
A change in the county government structure may be coming down the road.
The Platte County Board of Supervisors is placing on the Nov. 3 General Election ballot a measure that would change the supervisor form of government, to commissioners and eliminate township boards, resulting in the county taking over maintenance of all roads in the county.
