A 22-8 second quarter was too much for Humphrey-Lindsay to overcome, as the Bulldogs fell Friday at Plainview, 71-45.
The Bulldogs led 13-12 after the first quarter, but couldn’t get any shots to fall in the second as the Pirates raced out to a 34-21 halftime lead.
The Plainview lead grew to 55-27 heading to the fourth where the Bulldogs outscored the hosts 18-16, but it was too little, too late.
