The Humphrey-Lindsay Bulldog speech team traveled to Columbus Lakeview to compete in their speech invite on February 28.
In Informative speaking, Karsen Jacobson placed 4th and Mariah Schumacher was 5th. Mac Kurtenbach placed 5th and Harley Goering finished 3rd in Persuasive speaking. Goering placed 4th in Entertainment speaking, and Gabe Luschen was the champion. The OID of Luschen, Natalie Stock, Erin Kruid, and Sami Prorok placed 3rd while the OID of Colter Schneider, Abbey Ramsay, Cejay Dahlberg, Lia Whited, and Jacobson were event champions. In Duet Acting, Katie Hogancamp and Melody Bixenmann placed 6th, and Whited and Dahlberg were event champions.
In Humorous Prose, Keith Kirby finished 3rd, and Dahlberg was 2nd. Schumacher placed 5th, Camille Keller got 4th, and Whited was the runner up in Poetry. Kirby placed 6th in Serious Prose. Prorok finished 4th in Extemporaneous speaking. Ramsay placed 5th, Whited was the runner up, and Keller was the champion in Program of Oral Interp.
