Bulldogs speak up, win conference tournament title

The West Division of the East Husker Conference Speech Tournament was held at Howells-Dodge on February 25. The competing schools were Madison, Wisner-Pilger, Clarkson, Leigh, Humphrey-Lindsay, Scribner-Snyder, Stanton, and Howells-Dodge.

Each team was limited to two entries per event in each of the ten NSAA events. The Bulldogs had seventeen finalists and four event champions.

In serious prose, Jaedyn Friesen placed 6th and Emery Killham finished 4th. Harley Goering placed 5th and Colter Schneider placed 4th in persuasive speaking. Lia Whited finished 4th in poetry while Camille Keller placed 3rd. The OID team of Gabe Luschen, Natalie Stock, Erin Kruid, and Sami Prorok finished 3rd and the team of Schneider, Whited, Cejay Dahlberg, Karsen Jacobson, and Abbey Ramsay placed 2nd.
