The Humphrey-Lindsay speech team traveled to Creighton Saturday. Creighton hosted 22 schools and had two levels of finals, Champs and Next In. The top six made Champs finals, and the next six were Next In.
In the Next-In category, Mariah Schumacher placed 4th and Karsen Jacobson finished 3rd in informative speaking. Keith Kirby was the humorous champion. Mac Kurtenbach finished 4th in persuasive speaking. Lia Whited placed 3rd and Camille Keller was the POI champion.
In the Champs division, Cejay Dahlberg and Lia Whited placed 3rd in Duet Acting. The OID of Colter Schneider, Abbey Ramsay, Karsen Jacobson, Lia Whited, and Cejay Dahlberg placed 6th. Cejay placed 6th in humorous prose. Harley Goering placed 4th in persuasive speaking. In poetry, Camille Keller placed 4th and Lia Whited finished 3rd. Colter Schneider was the POI runner up. Gabe Luschen placed 6th in Entertainment speaking, and Harley Goering was the champion.
