The rim was unkind for Archangels Friday morning, as the Defenders fell to top seeded 45-25 in the Class D-2 state tournament semifinals at the Devaney Sports Center.
They shot just 10-46 from the field and 0-10 on 3-point shots. Dundy County/Stratton made 20 of 50 shots, and 3 of 8 3-pointers.
On top of their shooting issues, the Defenders turned over the ball 19 times in the first half, and even though they forced 14 Tigers turnovers in that span they trailed 23-9 at halftime.
