Officially my career is over. Unofficially, like a bad penny, I’ll keep turning up.
The light sabers are gone, the thank-you notes taken down, the nick-knacks that cluttered my desk are all at home now, collecting dust awaiting their next location.
It was strange hauling my stuff out to the car even though the work is not ending anytime soon. I will still be prowling the sidelines with my camera and notebook, sitting in meetings, going to community events.
