Short-handed Defenders fall to Central Valley

It was a tough match-up, but it became tougher when seniors Gavin Geilenkirchen and Ethan Wieseler went to the sidelines.

Archangels fell to No. 1 Central Valley 40-8 here Friday night with two key weapons on the sidelines.

Geilenkirchen went out in the first half with an ankle injury and watched the rest of the game on crutches. Wieseler battled the heat and was cramping.
