The least tax burden possible was the consensus of the Humphrey Public Schools Board of Education.
The board met during a special meeting Aug. 31 to review and discuss the 2026-27 budget.
Superintendent Brice King presented two options to the board. After reviewing and discussing both options the board felt option No. 1, which was not to access the added taxing authority, was the most appropriate with the bond passing and the bond fund will start being taxed this year.
