Archangels Defenders soundly defeated the Boys Town Cowboys in the first round of the Fremont Bergan volleyball tournament. ACHS were solid on serve receive, as evidenced by the 13 clean passes with only one receiving error. Libero Lillie Beltz led ACHS with four successful serve receptions. The Defenders were also able to successfully dig the spiking attempts from Boys Town. Courtney Eisenmann led the team with four digs, followed closely by Scarlett Kessler with three.
On offense, Eva Klassen took control at the net, hitting 0.700 with seven kills on ten attempts. Backing her up with Izzy Tasa who hit 0.375 with five kills. Kessler was strong at the serving line, racking up ten aces and scoring 13 points. No blocking statistics were provided by press time.
