St. Francis celebrates Grandparents Day in big way

Teachers and students at St. Francis Elementary welcomed their grandparents to a celebration in their honor on Monday, September 21. The morning began with Mass with Fr. Dan Wittrock as celebrant. Deacon Dennis Anderson, who has several grandchildren in the school, assisted at Mass and gave the homily, reminding the congregation of their responsibilities as members of the body of Christ.

After Mass, students found their grandparents and escorted them to the school where they were treated to coffee, muffins, and juice. They were then invited to tour the elementary school and classrooms to see where the children spend their days.

Grandparents Day is always time well spent.
