On October 22, 2023, Eva Fujan, the Strategic Consultant hired by the Archdiocese, sent Archbishop Lucas her recommendation letter along with recommendations from both the Lindsay Holy Family and the Humphrey St. Francis merger committees. Both communities would like to see both 7-12 schools remain open if at all possible and continue to work together to explore new opportunities that benefit both schools and communities. 2023-11-01 04:00 AM

I’m watching the Lions and Packers on Thursday Night Football on Prime Video, a far cry of the days when I had to make sure the rabbit ears that sat on top of my television were aligned the right way so I could see the picture clearly. 2023-10-04 04:00 AM

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
That’s the question I was often asked when serving as the local mayor. Each year about 50 mayors would meet to discuss the successes and the challenges of our communities. Was it the jobs, location, community amenities, schools? The consensus was always the schools were the key to community success. Successful schools’ equal successful communities. Our school District #67 serves a large portion of northern Platte County including Creston, Tarnov, Lindsay and Humphrey. Each of these communities depends on District #67 to educate our future citizens. We are fortunate to have three very successful schools within our district. Our future depends on the continued success of the school systems. We are being asked to vote on a bond issue that will support the future of District #67. A vote for the bond issue will mean continued success of our schools. The future is for us to decide. 2023-08-02 04:00 AM
