That’s the question I was often asked when serving as the local mayor. Each year about 50 mayors would meet to discuss the successes and the challenges of our communities. Was it the jobs, location, community amenities, schools? The consensus was always the schools were the key to community success. Successful schools’ equal successful communities. Our school District #67 serves a large portion of northern Platte County including Creston, Tarnov, Lindsay and Humphrey. Each of these communities depends on District #67 to educate our future citizens. We are fortunate to have three very successful schools within our district. Our future depends on the continued success of the school systems. We are being asked to vote on a bond issue that will support the future of District #67. A vote for the bond issue will mean continued success of our schools. The future is for us to decide. 2023-08-02 04:00 AM
